Mystery Behind Day and Night...
Welcome back, Readers!!! So, getting started with the topic, we always talk about how the day will be, how exciting the night will be. After accomplishing all the targets in the day, we sleep with a tired brain and the mind planning for the next day. But what happens to us in the sleep? Why do we feel energized and rejuvenated the next morning? Of course, there is medical science behind it; but something leads us to the Vedas and cosmic sciences apart from the physical world. Let us have a deeper insight.
Individual consciousness is a miniature, faithful representation of cosmic consciousness which is accessed in deep samadhis (in meditation or deep sleep). The higher layers in Samadhis are the abode of "archetypes" known as Gods and Goddesses in Vedas.Vedic Samhita is a collection of mantras and hymns revealed to Rishis in their elevated states. These unravel the mystery of the cosmos.
Usha, Goddess of Dawn, is visualized in higher consciousness as a beautiful woman who makes dramatic appearance drawn by 100 chariots and possesses "gau" and "ashva" which means cow and horses but metaphorically means, light and power respectively. Usha's sister Ratri is the cosmic energy of the night, whose darkness engulfs our consciousness and enforces a repose which heals and revives by a temporary hibernation of mind and senses.
Usha follows Ratri as called as "Rta" in Sanskrit. Usha steals into the atmosphere of earth before Surya, the sun illuminating the skies with golden-orange luminosity. Her gentle vibrations suffuse the most tired of souls with new potential.
Dawn, hence is an ideal time to be silent and meditate on higher reality, called as " Brahmn Muhurta" which is between 4 to 6 am in the morning. I tried to resolve the mystery as per my knowledge.
With this, I take your leave, hope you liked the post. I'll be back with more such exciting posts. This blog is written with reference to many books I had read. In case we are meeting for the first time, Hi this is Tejas Joshi.
